Flooded Strand can also find a Scrubland or a Godless Shrine or a Plateau or an Underground Sea. You can fetch more than just a Tundra and can really have access to a lot more colors of mana with this one card than most others for only 1 life. Deck thinning is a possible benefit as well but they also really shine when you have cards like Sensei's Divining Top and you can benefit from getting a shuffle out of your deck too.

In summary, Flooded Strand > Tundra. Any of the Fetch Lands > just about any other land in the game.

^This.^ U/W is a dangerous lockdown combo, especially in Casual. My decks are more than enough to prove that point. I use these, Hallowed Fountain and a few Glacial fortress and my mana sources are just fine. "Fetch-lands" are some of the best top-tier cards to have. Thinning out your deck is a priceless tactic.

what i dont think the guy above me understands is with this you can search for a hallowed fountain, or better yet a tundra. or any other combination of white or blue. thinning your deck and getting the land you need is never a bad thing, and the reason these are used in top decks

Very good! It things your deck and can get you a dual land of the appropriate color. 5/5

if you're playing blue in 1.5 like me you've got to have these. i don't have too much to add to that. think WOTC went a bit overboard with these but, heck, i guess since they printed them i'll play them. don't want to be a loser. very nice art and even greater foil. the wallet will take a heavy hit but, once again, pretty much a must have if you're playing blue............

BLUE MANA IS SO RIDICULOUSLY UNDERRATED. YOU CAN USE IT ON VISSERDRIX, ARCANIS, AND EVEN ARTIFACTS. ALL OF THEM!!! WHEN YOU ADD THE WHITE YOU CAN PERFORM

Yes, fetch lands are pretty good. If you are prepared to spend this kind of money on cards, there are plenty of more efficient, faster ways of accomplishing what fetch lands do.

hallowed fountain...? this card cant produce 2 different types of mana unless you can somehow sac it multiple times (u can use it w/ life from the loam, and these 2 are often found in the same deck, which is why i give 2 not 1 stars)...but still: hallowed fountain is simply better in a straight u/w deck...
