Awesome in a Flash Cats deck, but Jareth IS generally awesome... His casting cost is really low compared to other big white creatures, and he sure isn't afraid of nothing xD 6 mana for this powerhouse tank with availability for protection against anything is really worth it.

A little hint if you're going to play this as a big hitter: enchant him with Armored Ascension, and your opponents are as good as dead. Just give him protection from whatever color creatures your opponents' own, and then go in for the kill. On top of that, Armored Ascension grants him flying, which means he'll chew up even the biggest of flyers and dragons. Heck, he'll kill Akroma on the spot, and he's even cheaper than her!

Jareth, Lenione Titan is the king of whatever deck he goes into. Six land for a 4/7 that gets +7+7 when blocking and can gain protection of any color for a turn. With the exception of a few cards, Jareth is ivirtually ndestructable. This lion rules all.

Jareth to me is like having Akroma without the flying ability. Except Jareth can have protection from every color. This card is nearly unstoppable if used correctly.

Use this card with Grand melee, have Jareth block, +7/+7, And then attack for 11 damage.

This is the best card you can get. I think it is the best blocker in the game.

Jareth is terriffic. The true eternal blocker, you leave 5 plains open at all times, and he can never die.

In a white deck that casting cost is a little much, but I use him in my Flash Cat deck because I think he's a good late-game play. Him, Rakasha, Nacatl War Pride and Jedit are my high-end guys. With tons of Flashcats like Whitemane Lion and Fleetfoot Panther, Door to Destinies makes Jareth amazing by the time he arrives.

Just don't forget that spells like wrath of god or jokulhaups will smear this card straight into your graveyard.

In that case though, there's some neat tricks you can do with cards like Anurid Brushhopper or Planar Guide that can protect Jareth from those effects.

Yes, Jareth is good, but hardly unbeatable. At best, he's a field annoyance, and should be flown over, feared through, shadowed, or breached via landwalk.

now i'm not hinting at anything but if this dude ain't one prime piece of beef....well, i don't know what is. king of the hill, cock of the walk, triple AAA stud muffin....you get the picture, right? now i haven't played with this crackerjack but that's 'cause i like a little room to breath. and i guess WOTC made up for over ten years of "cat" type creatures sucking so bad they were like mini-black holes. and of course they put some halfway decent ones in the next block 'mirrodin.' but jeez, this manehead looks like an inverted triangle. "puss-in-the-boots" has definitely grown up and he ain't taking ____ from anyone or anything......................

I agree this is a greatr card, but easily destroyable. I bealive there is a card in mirage that, when tapped makes a spell colorless. Combine that with radiants judgment(destroy target creature power 4 or greater), making it a colorless spell, which it cant take protection form. This card ios destroyed.

This is a good card but it has one problem.

Sure, it's impossible to kill, and will make your enemy hesistate to attack with any big creatures, but the best decks don't care.

The best decks either skip the board and go for a win, or skip creatures and go for player life, or have enough creatures that it doesn't matter if they die.

Low mana cost is the key to victory...

Remember that ;)

But it's a funny frustrating card, due to the difficulty to kill it.

Actually if it becomes 11/14 while blocking there isn't any point of giving a pro color; you won't be blocking multiple creatures in the first place and you might as well cast right. and swords it to gain some life.
