Who cares about the two life deal? Wow. Okay let me break this down: it's evasion! Better than flying. The black version (Ascendant Evincar) can be bolted, hammered, flame javvied, path to exiled, swords to plowshared ect ect ect. Sort of like a more expensive Blinking Spirit. We all remember that pain in the butt right?

It's excellent if you're running a mono white deck, as it can wither some or all of your opponent's monsters if they aren't playing white. Otherwise, he's just a basic 4/4 heavy hitter who you can save by paying the life in times of trouble.
