It's part of the Bouncy Trio!! Plus it's a 6/6 Flier w/ Flying...'nuff said.

I really like the versatility of this card. While it appears to have a major drawback, it can be used to save your creatures that have been declared as blockers. Necrosavant has been seeing tourny play because it is a large white creature. This is a bigger, much better white creature. White weenie has many reasons to celebrate with the Time Spiral block.

Dont be afraid by the high gating cost. It can actually be a godsend. Especially when playing with creatures that have "come into play effects" or creatures with vanishing like Calciderm. Draining Whelk can come back to your hand to counter more spells and Calciderm returns because the Dust Elemental isnt targeting and you get to play the derm again. Plus if you dont have any creatures in play, you can still play it. The ability doesnt say "return three creatures or sacrifice ole Dusty" and MtG has yet to say otherwise about the ability. A 6/6 with flying, fear and flash makes for one mean patch of dust.

Raise the Alarm, Spectral Procession and Battle Screech are the fastest ways I can think of to being able to getting this out the fastest. Turn 4 go into combat will all your tokens, pass... at the end of their turn or in responce to you chump blocking their attack; Play this and return the tokens to your hand instead and their attackers are still considered blocked. Other than that, this card can be a whore to work around his ETB effect.

Lots of flavor to this card!

This and Stronghold Overseer are the only two creatures I know of who have double evasion, and I think it's hilarious that they can't even fight each other, because Overseer has shadow...

I really want to run a few of these in my Legacy white weenie deck, but I'm just not sure I have enough creatures I want to return to my hand unless I'm saving them from mass removal. I'm running equipto-Kithkin, so most of them are better in play theoretically. Regardless, Dusty is a hilarious and awesome card, he just needs the right deck. I'm gonna mess around and see if I can come up with anything

Oh No, I have to return my Spring Jack Shepherd, Meadowboon, and Conclave Phalanx to my hand... This is a perfect addition to my white bounce deck. Also combos nicely with Reveillark. On a side note, I think the guy above is confusing Necrosavant with Chronosavant. Necrosavant is the black one, and Chronosavant is the white one.

Well I messed up on my last review. I checked more extensively into the MtG rules and as far as gating goes this creature is slag. Its still great for what I said it was for, but youll find that after it resolves itll return itself to your hand. Even if its the only creature in play, you see, once it becomes "in play" itll search for creatures you have and if you have three or less it will bounce all of your creatures back to your hand, including itself. Needless to say its not worth much in a deck that only runs a few creatures but in a deck that can generate alot of creatures (especially those that have "come into play" abilities or ones that will trigger abilities that are already in effect) it can be right at home.
