okay think about it, how many cards you can get cost only 1 more than it's power/thoughness. It's incredably mana efficient. If you like it look at shirfting wall.

Ivy Elemental is decent in a green deck with loads of land search. Just ramp your mana and cast this guy, then cast Rancor on it and start killing people. If your opponents decide to shoot your Ivy Elemental, thank God we have Eternal Witness and Nostalgic Dreams to retrieve stuff from the grave :b
And even if you don't happen to have Eternal Witness and Nostalgic Dreams at hand or some decent land search, Ivy Elemental is cool becase it can adapt to the game - early on it's a small creature, but if you cast it late game, it becomes a big fatty.

Still, Protean Hydra and Feral Hydra are, of course, a lot better than this - Feral Hydra grows, and Protean Hydra is scary with Armadillo Cloak.

Use this with taunting elf, 4 wirewood channelers, 4 elvish guildance (enchant land to add +x green mana where x is the amount of elf's in play), Ambush Commander, and Prowl (creature gains +3/+3 and trample). Can you say instant kill? (I mean honestly, i can easily get 200-300 mana in one turn just from one land and the channeler and if you do pump all that mana into this thing just slap something with trample on there and wam you win.

this card is great cause you can make it however strong want according to your mana. I love to see the look on my opponent's faces' when i slam down an 9/9 or a 10/10! Soon I will have 4 of these in my green stomper deck!

ok card, you choose the power and toughness of this card, but it costs so much mana to do it, i guess if your deck has the mana stradegy this would be the card for you, but a card that has the same stradegy but has trample as well and only costs 7 mana is Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer, check it out, i have ivy elemental in my deck and it has won me many games, but there are much better cards out there.

mediocre, it no matter what is going to be over costed, it should have trample.

Oh, now iīm learning how to play magic - the perfect deck is a big monster, an enchant creature, streams of life and loads of lands!!! Big creatureīs donīt win games, mostly when they donīt trample. a river boa can take care of this one.
