my personal favorite non-foil 'plain's of all time. i think, personally, that i enjoy the color blue in the landscapes as it seems to be suffering a dearth of usage in all the gloom and doom of the MTG mindset. or perhaps its just the artist's skillful meshing with the other colors of his palette. both realistic and fanciful at the same time. i also(although not usually)enjoy the birds taking wing as if just taking aflight or surprised. one other point if i might. years and years ago i heard that this art was supposed to be looked at like the end result of a journey that ended in the city(panel two of this block of 'plain's). so panel one would be the homesteads or such in the country and the second one would be the path up to the city. now i don't know at this removed date where such a piece of apocrapha comes from, but i'm throwing it out there to all you hardcore affecionadoes. in conclusion, recommend highly for its brilliant colors, themes, and over all koolness............................
