Island 1

the portal 1 lands are just really top notch. i can't think of a single one that i thought was not enjoyable to look at. they all seem evocative and joyous for the most part. Mr. Peterson has done a fine job with these islands.

probably the most emotional piece, perhaps on a different day i might rate this higher. the first in the series is the most natural while incorporating fantastical elements so.. i'll stop there before i start sounding really silly.....

well....what to say....charitably? this 'ice age' block of lands is one of the worse ever printed for MTG. and you know what? if each 'island' card in this block removed the isle in the centerpiece each card would probably go to at least a four star card. just sea and sky. sometimes its just that simple.........................
