what is wrong with you? Black being to draw a card per life is done so many times!!! Graveborn muse, arena, confidant (that can cost you more than 1 life per card) and yet this is great, and this artifact is not? ppl, unlike other things you can choose (limited by mana) how many cards you draw, can not do that with the graveborn muse. card is great, not a blue drawing card, but a very good black one

Not a bad card at all. It would be better if it let you tap a swamp instead of an island for the counter removal ability though. Really cool art.

It's simple. Put the card drawing on the stack, and then us the "remove a counter" ability. Therefore, the counter is removed before you lose the life. It's a modern day Tomb, with the option of drawing a card for cheaper, especially useful in a beatdown deck.

Even if you look at it that way your still paying 4 to draw 1 card so it's not really that great.

At first glance, this card may appear to be good. But after a carefull look, it obviously stinks. You end up paying 5 and 1 life just to draw 1 card? No thanx, mines for trade.

how could you even give this thing 1 star. i say rip it up and use it for counters.
