Simple. Effective. Cheap.

Best in combo decks, obviously, but it can work if any deck needs to draw a particular card in a given situation.

I agree with all of you it is the most power hungry card out there. And can easily change the tides of the battle. If any of you have heard of Cameron from Spirit Lake and you want to keep your dignity as a good duelist. Stay away from him. I have won many tournaments and I was undefeated until he came to my school and he beat without me taking out any of his life. I am ashamed but listen to me and dont challenge him.

Demonic tutor is a sorcery the scepter is only for instances. You can use Panoptic Mirror though but i cost 5 to cast!!! please read the cards clearly. Ive read of so many people using sorceries on Isochron.

For any casual deck, if you play black, four of these go in. It will increase the odds of getting the card you need NOW. No matter what the card you need is, if you draw this, you got what you need, whether it be mana, combo card, removal, or any thing else, this card gets you what you need, for a low price.

Wow .. I mean, look at all the positive reviews xD
This card is probably one of the all-time greatest black cards ever. It can find anything you need, and its manacost just screams BROKEN. If you're running black, or even just splashing black in your deck, you should really consider at least 1 copy of this.

I have seen a summer print of this card and it is worth way more than they are stating here due to the fact that it does not have the pentagram on the forehead! A lot of the summer prints came to Ireland and a friend of mine by chance bought a whole box and subsequently i have come to own some, the colour of these cards is fantastic

Vampiric Tutor is better if you absolutely must have as speedy a deck as possible, but Demonic Tutor is better in any other situation. And a copy from the Revised set is cheaper, too. 5 stars!

Actually the cheapest tutor is Vampiric Tutor from Visions, which is 1 mana. However, Vampiric, you must put on top of your deck and pay 2 life. It is obviously inferior to Demonic.

A great card, but certainly not in the top 10 and certainly not the best. WMS, Lotus, all 5 moxen, Library, Time Walk, Timetwister, ancestral recall, and Yawgmoth's will are all far superior to this card.

I've been playing since 1993, and still to this day use this card. Without a doubt, anytime you can search your library and put any card in your hand rules.

this card is one of the best cards out there if you need a card you got this to help you out and it goes into your hand and if you have a jet medallion out in play it is only one mana it is the sweetest card made

Some people say this is the strongest card ever. I say it's exellent. Another one of those crazy good uncommons from the good old days.
