typicasl start for me: turn one, this bada**, turn two, level two, swing for 3, turn three, gideons avenger or war and peace, or 3 elite vsanguards. Great starting card, one of the best 1cmc ever, only toppled by goblin guide

The way I look at this is card is thusly--1)Turn 1 for a 1/1, okay. Turn 2 pay {W}{W} pump him into a 3/3 FSer and keep card advantage. Turn 3, w/e you wanna do~ 2)Metagame~ Pay {W} for a 1/1, then lvl it twice; escentially pay {WWW} for a 3/3 FSer(AWESOME). Otherwise it takes 8{W}'s to make a 4/4 DSer which is kinda bleh. It's second stage is where it's at because of the tempo... This is probably the best best LVLer creature with either Kargan or Lighthouse Chronologist as a close second, depending on the deck build.

I rarely get to lvl him up to the max, but in retrospect he is an awesome turn 1 knight(Not enough 1CMC knights) that becomes 3/3 FS'er turn 2. Turn 3: drop Knight Exemplar and opponent will want to kill this first allowing you to maybe lvl it up summor. Definetly run Rebuff the Wicked to protect the big hitters I say.

Knights without this guy has no real big-hitter, unless you wanna just throw something in, Sun Titan works well. But all lvlrs get alot of attention as theyre getting close to their final which can be a pain. Now howevcer, with knight exemplar out to give this guy some room to breath, Knight decks are a force to be recconed with!

Im getting me a playset of these guys for my new deck. Its a pretty cool card. Its basically a bully during the early stages and in the late stages its still a monster. A 4/4 monster with double strike. Mix him with basilisk collar and he'll be giving your opponent some serious h3**.
