If anyone out there thinks this card is bad read this:
I got this card out with 4 krosan cloudscrapers out, 3 rorix bladewings, and 2 Kilnmouth dragons, so the ancient ooze ended up being a 72/72, imagine playing that, and i also gave it trample.

Lawton... 7 is expensive, but have you looked at scourge? It is full of cards that allow you to get stuff like this out on the fourth or fifth turn.

If you're playing the set, you'll be fine.

Even if you're not playing the set, you could get this out with a hunted wumpus for 4. Or Call of the Wild for 4. Or with a dead gamekeeper. Or use elves you can tap for mana. Or a million other ways.

Honestly, it's a green creature. If you haven't figured out how to get 7 mana before you die in a green deck, you don't know how to play the color.

To the guy who had 4 cloudscrapers, 3 rorix's, and 2 Kilnmouths out when he played this... Why wasn't the game over before you played this guy??? This guy is decent... not amazing though.

Right on, Jack. Green is the mana explosion color, so if someone can't figure out a way to drop this guy within the first 2-4 turns, they are either not very observant, or not very creative.

come on people do you really think modern decks will let you live long enough to bring something this pricy out. even with mana accelerators it will be quite difficult to bring it out. to me it sucks unless you can pump alot of creatures out. most of the time your opponenet will counter it or whatever, i mean do you really think your opponent would really let you keep something like this on the board . plus this card is very easy to kill. and no you cannot keep it alive with tokens, because the tokens have no casting cost when in play. you can mearly kill it by killing everything buy itself and its dead. it sucks. all of my decks can kill by the fifth or sixth turn so don't get your hopes high.
