This card is absolutely great in a -1/-1 counter deck of any kind. You just have to watch out or you could end up "wrathing" the entire board!

3 great uses for this card:

I have had some really good success so far with a "Wither-Control" deck; and this card is the key. Play Eternal Torment main deck and stack in some nasty, quick elementals and your opponent has two options: 1) take damage; or 2) lose all of his weenie creatures to -1/-1 tokens. At 3 mana for its effect, it really is a steal for its destructive power. This card murders token and weenie decks of any kind and can secure a lock early.

Another great card to use with this is Dusk Urchins. When it dies, you draw cards and get to activate your Blowfly and murder every weenie on the board. As mentioned, the drawback is that you have to go after your creatures if you run out - but thanks to cards like Fate Transfer, this can actually be to your advantage later - ensuring you have a token to bust more weenies should they show up.

Finally, I have been working with an infinite life deck using this card. Essence/Soul Warden + Flourishing Defenses + Blowfly Infestation = Infinite Life. Very nasty and big time abuse potential - especially with the horribly overlooked Plague of Vermin...

This isnt a solid 5 star card, but it has some great potential.

This card is surpisingly good. All of those annoying 1/1 creatures are taken out with this card. Play a few more of these, and you'll be able to take out most things you're opponents can throw at you. If you have two on the field, just kill off a 1/1, and now you have 2 -1/-1 counters to use. The only downside to this card is that you HAVE to target something, meaning if you've killed off all your opponent's creatures, you have to go for your own creatures.
