Painter's Servant

Magnetic Mountain, Red Elemental Blast/Pyroblast, Jaya Ballard, Chaotic Backlash, Combust, Crackleburr, and Lapis Lazuli Talisman(Don't underestimate this old card) pretty much sums up my Painter's Deck. I used to use Sirocco but not too many people in my playgroup abuse instants.

2 of these and a Dragon Arch = Any creature for 2 mana. With the Urza lands you can do this by turn 3 (though the Grindstone tactic sound more fun!). Now you can get any Eldrazi out for cheap using a Dragon Arch, YEY!

y'all are missing the most broken combination with this card: chaotic backlash. if you;'re playing against a white or blue deck, name the other color with this. then drop a mana accelerator and on turn 4, well that's...upwards of 10 damage. twincast for the win!

as soon as i saw this card spoiled i told all my friends this card was gonna be awesome and they literally thought i was a newb. i might as well have been yelling "THE SKY IS FALLING!!! i still went after a playset early and then someone made a grindstone deck and now my freinds are looking up for flying pigs... hehehe... LONG LIVE VINTAGE PAINTER"S STONE!!!

you can't really top 1 Mana Vindicates!

At first i thought this card stunk but after losing on turn two to a grindstone I took a second look and this combos with tons of cards. One not mentioned above is Llawan, Cephalid Empress.. Now your opponents cant cast creatures.

This card is combolitious!!!! grind stone, oona, jaya ballard...that's just off the top of my head, but the list goes on, this card is awesome!!!!

On it's own seems harmless but with grindstone, you get and auto win turn 1 or 2. 6 colorless mana for the win? This is too good once you start running enlightened tutor and mana accelaration. I think there's a chance we will see this banned or the grindstone. If not...this card will rocket in value!

I'd like to play this in a buried alive deck with Iona, shield of Emeria... Bury them, pull them with a victimize or something, total lockdown.

This card is amazing and besides from a select few, one of the best in shadowmoor. Any person who gives this a low rating because it didn't dominate legacy or vintage has a very unorganized approach to reviewing a card. There are many amazing cards that never had a spot in modern legacy or old type 1 decks and these formats are not the tell tale signs of a good card.My Blue/White painter's servant grindstone deck would probaly manhandle many so called tier 1 decks.

To me it's good for one thing, Grindstone.

Don't know what the fuss is all about. I saw the deck with this card and Grindstone at a legacy tourny, it went 1-7, got owned by all tier 1 decks, and struggled greatly against the tier 2 decks, lol.

This won't get too far in the Legacy meta.
