Combo with Fire Covenant! Although Volcano Hellion also works if you want to keep it Mono-colored. Nuff said.

I usually dont tell anyone this trick until i kill them with it... but heres a great combo with this card:
play this on turn 2, then play a furnace of rath on turn four. on turn 5, drop another mountain and play a spitting earth on the maniac. the maniac will take 10 damage due to the furnace, then because the maniac took 10 damage, it deals 10 damage to your opponent, but because of the furnace, your opponent takes 20 damage! for 2 mana! of course, youll want to add some other direct damage spells like lightning bolt (12 damage for 1) the only problem is you lose the maniac, but it doesnt matter if your opponents dead!

This card is a pretty pimpin' one with a lot of possiblilities. 2 mana for a 1/1 - OH NO!!!!! but wait the only real reason you would use this card is for a combo so WHO CARES! I use a deck with this in and a skirk fire marshall this gives regular 5th turn kills and sometimes even 4th when you use rituals.
That spitting earth/furnace of rath thing is a good idea but in extended a lot of people play with counterspells. When i play htis deck people do not ussually realise the combo until yu have gone and done i.

GOBLINS ROCK ASS!!!!!

you can do a at least a turn two kill with a mogg maniac with a combo.

This is a narrow card, 2 for a 1/1 is just bad, as for the furnace of wrath, who cares, it costs 4 to play, most good red decks can win on turn 4, with out having to keep a maniac in play. Sure there might be a time when you can block something big, but as soon as your opponent gets something big out you most games would already have lost or won.
