Great card. Hard to imagine how easy it must have been for someone to pull these back when tempest was being opened. Right now it's carrying an $80 price tag. my poor, poor wallet

It's great. Only problem is that the block cycled out of extended. It's still ridiculously good! In vintage and legacy, you can have 4 of, and if your opponent is using non-basics (which almost every deck has one) then they don't have a land that may be beneficial to them. Strip Mine is good too, and is arguably better, but it's restriced in vintage. If you use Crucible of Worlds, then you have a Waste or Strip lock on your opponent.

These things r0x0r b0x0rz BIG TIME! There just sooo gooood! Theres almost ALWAYS a target for them, especially in 1.5 and type 1, not to mention Ext.! And geez, No duh there not as good as Stripmine, that thing is pratically broken, if it were to be ever be unrestricted, everybody and thier grandma, THIER GRANDMA would probably be playing with multiple copies of them in there decks, not to mention a noticable price increase from eveyone suddenly buying the ALL POWERFULL Stripmine for thier decks! That would be t3h 0wnz though, if they were to unrestrict it... bribe/kiddnap/death letters?

Wasteland is really good, and it is especially useful in Extended play where Gaea's Cradle, Dual Lands, Pain Lands, and Rishadan Port are everywhere. It will rarely not have a target, and even if it didn't, you would still most likely have a use for colorless mana providing you have enough lands of your primary color(s). It can slow down Secret Force and Big Green Creature decks by destroying the Cradle or get rid of a Counter-Oath or Counter-Sliver deck's one source of mana of a specific color. It can also destroy an annoying Port that's been shutting down your white mana supply. It's especially good to go with land destruction decks such as Ponza and Legion Land Loss, as it's one more land destruction card in a deck already full of them.

Wasteland is good, but Strip Mine is much better. Strip Mine destroys ANY land. Wasteland can only destory a Non-Basic land. the only downfall to Strip Mine is that it is restricted.
