Was someone complaining about the casting cost? the only problem with this card is when your shares a color with your opponents, things get ridiculous. This card is a game winner. Make sure you have a few non basic lands in your deck so you can cast spells without even number casting costs or you will be in a world of mana burn.
But honestly, this card isnt restricted? get a couple of these out and fire off a 'psychic drain'.
If 5 casting cost is too much for you, you will find learning about mana advancement very very rewarding.
a 5 casting cost doesnt mean you have to wait till your 5th turn.

I almost never lose when I get Gauntlet of power out, I got it out the other day on turn four, then on turn five, I had Akroma, the good one(White) on turn 5, and i won.

I would give this card 5 stars, but the cost is too high for that, but if you manage to get this card in play, you win.
