this is a great card. if somebody uses it against you, oh well...sliver overlord, steal them all. i agree with the above poster in that in a good sliver deck there should only be slivers. well, with this card all kinds of possiblities become reality.

for example, my sliver deck is set up to wild pair out a progenitus by turn 5 or 6 just for that extra kick in the face. i only play with my friends(well, not with my slivers anymore they hate it too much lol). with this, progenitus now gains all sliver abilities, since hivestone doesn't actually target progenitus it affects him in the same way that day of judgment removes him from the board. i can tell you, it can't be much fun staring down a progenitus with haste, flying, +3/+3, lifelink, and double strike. no fun at all :-)

To me thgis card seems insanely powerful...

What would happen if you had a good sliver deck to begin with, got this card into play, then pumped out a few snake baskets and/or breeding pits?

All these new cards are too insane for me... too powerful.

A great counter-sliver card. All of your troops become just as sliver as the real slivers, but when you don't factor their abilitys, slivers tend to be quite small. Big guys with lots of abilitys -vs- small guys with lots of abilitys. Good for you, a pain for them. Just watch out for harmonic sliver.

This could be okay in a sliver deck. Hivestone+Donate+sliver overlord= gain control of any creature your enemy has.

I give this 2 stars because it seems that the only good use for this card is something like the first reviewer suggests... using it against a sliver deck. This card is not really designed to be in sliver decks, because if you are putting a sliver deck together properly, the only creatures that should be in it are slivers.
