OK, Many people have vied to use this in many combinations thru time since MTG's inception.
Most of the reviews below are impossible due to errata on the card not allowing you to untap unless you Actually skip a turn. Feast your eyes on this possibility.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Time Vault -- Final Fortune -- Spellbinder
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
After imprinting a Final Fortune onto the Spellbinder when cast, you simply Equip on a creature that is Unblockable or Shadow or however you want to and then untap your Time Vault by skipping your next turn. Since your next turn was skipped, the effects of "At the end of that turn, you lose the game" never take effect from the imprinted Final Fortune. Tap Time Vault for an Extra Turn after this one, Wash & Repeat.
You could drop this combo into Any color deck as the Final Fortunes are in the deck for imprint ability.

Enjoy,
~Traggy~

2 Cards (Time Vault, Voltaic Key), 4 mana (2 for Vault, 1 for Key, 1 to activate Key) and you take INFINITE TURNS. Think about that for a minute. The only win conditions in Magic that are equal to Time Vault are: Oath of Druids, Tinker, and Flash. Plus, unlike Oath or Tinker the game ends on the spot as long as there is an actual kill card (Tezzeret, Jace, Tendrils, etc) in your deck. Oh, and it's colorless so it can be played in almost any deck not named "Dredge". Dumb card is dumb.

how about this one people? mind over matter, tolarian academy, 0 drop artifacts, prosperity. or even a first turn tramatize? or you can have infinate turns as well by having mind over matter out, and time vault
use a 0 drop artifact creature, and add a quicksilver dagger to it, infinate damage too

this card is incredible with tezzeret and voltaic key. it is actually a stable deck and has consistancy as well as very competitive in vintage. with all of the search and the price of it the restriction of 1 is sort of redundant. i also believe that time vault has beautiful artwork.

Okay, Wizard's did have a crazy errata for years that killed the dozens of simple combos with this card. The errata used time counters and what not so that you simply couldn't just use voltaic key to untap time vault and win the game.

However, wizards updated their errata bringing Time Vault's official rules text closer to what the wording on the card is. The latest errata is as follows:
Time Vault enters the battlefield tapped.
Time Vault doesn't untap during your untap step.
If you would begin your turn while Time Vault is tapped, you may skip that turn instead. If you do, untap Time Vault.
Tap: Take an extra turn after this one.

This means at present voltaic key, twiddle, and of course the infamous Tezzeret, all work for infinite turns with this card. Wizards restored Time Vault, and created a beast of a deck in the process. This card is now extremely playable and very viable in vintage.

ok guys... the errata on the card is.... it comes into play tapped, if at any time this card becomes untapped you must skip your next turn. since the rulling on "skipping your next turn" stacks, the only infinite turn combo on this is this.... time vault and rings of brighthearth. you untap it during your untap phase causing you to skip your next turn, then tap to take an additional turn, then copy the activated ability of taking another turn by paying 2 mana with rings. any questions???

This card has its defects but there are other cards out the that make this cards disadvantage obsolete. Find the cards, learn the combo and this card will benefit over time walk.

I heard there are a rule with this card to prevent infinite turn such as "you must skip a turn to put a time counter on time vault". And I don't know this is true or not but for me you are all still can use Time Vault + Goblin Welder to get infinite turn anyway.

The errata on this one reads:

Time Vault comes into play tapped.
If Time Vault would become untapped, instead choose one - untap Time Vault and you skip your next turn; or Time Vault remains tapped.
TAP: Take an extra turn after this one.

I'm pretty sure this kills all the infinite turn combos. An interesting card, but not one I've ever seen used to any great effect.
