Nobody seems to of mentioned this but loss of life (onyx goblet) will kill you with this card out. Prolly got more to worry about from a disenchant but its worth knowing that this doesn't make you unkillable. However stupid I think it may be that loss of life isn't considered damage; its only fair that a single 4 mana cost card isn't enough to make you god. It's godlike enough to still get 5 stars from me though

One of the most unbelievable card at first sight like Ancient Ooze, Glarecaster and Platinum Angel. Since it's enchantment is hard to destroy. I remember playing this five-turn dead deck, and it was thanks to this card that led me to victory.

The best card ever made I have four in my white deck and due to that factor it is going at 97-2 (wins-loses) It is the card of GOD.

play this in the sideboard of my mono white 1.5 deck as it creates problems for certain archtypes ..namely red and brown decks. the previous reviewers have about covered it so i'll just chip in to say its basically a card you want if your playing creatures. the art on this version is slightly better that the 'urza's saga' version and brings a bit of a harder edge to the table which i enjoy. i also prefer the seventh edition version in foil and for the fact that WOTC has changed the format of their cards for the future......for the worst in my humble opinion. so this is the last set and the best version of this card(foil) that you will probably ever see. recommend.

if your opponent lacks removal, well...you win...however, most decks have removal at least in their sideboard. even if you use it with a shroud creature, enchantments are simply waaay too unstable...wispmare, demystify, naturalize of the top of my head...

Yeah you gotta watch out for those brown decks, buddy. (Unless you're actually talking about Affinity, but somehow I doubt it.)

Anyway this is a decent card and shows up in SBs sometimes.

yes i believe that this card is indeed good for the following reasons.
Top card in any format for the sole reason that it fits in any deck. It regenerates, saving it from many threats making it an excellent blocker, and its one damage manuver kills birds of paradises', and can even take out irridescent angels if needed. It can also block (or simply kill off) shadowmage infiltrators, a perfect solution. It's regeneration will frustrate opponents, it can blothis card is for people who hump masticores ck blastoderms, and can survive a flametongue kavu. Many decks, especially now can take advantage of flashback, madness, and threshold making its upkeep almost useful. Wizards of the Coasts rtes every card in exsistence on a 0 to 5 scale, with 5 being a card you would guarantee that it would always be in your deck, or you would only build a deck around it. Masticore is one of the few cards ever to reach a 5.0, and that says alot. Any deck can and should use this card. It dominated any format it wa available in, and it simply is too strong.
