2/2 body is fair for 2CMC, but it's all about the triggered ability. If you combine this with Bloodthrone Vampires and other weenie vampires like Vampire Lacorator, Pulse Tracker, Guul Draz Vampire and Bloodghast you will have a force to be reckoned with. Just attack with everything you have by turn 4 or 5 leaving all your mana open, whatever gets chumped just sacrifice in response to the Bloodthrone making it huge, and activate Kalastria's ability for each vamp you munch to the bloodthrone. It kills incredibily fast.

Indeed. As if Tribal vamps needed help like this... Use this with Bloodchief Ascension and watch the counters skyrocket easily.
And the 2 mana for a 2/2 really makes it hit hard for it's curve. It's fast, efficient, and has a killer effect, just like the rest of the vampires (Nighthawk, Gatekeeper, Nocturnus...) Good luck not breaking them after this one, WoTC...
