one of the more creative cards, unlike emrakul.

Why is this card so cheap? If you have four of them in an all green deck combined with a few more powerful green cards you're basically unstoppable with the possibility of having a 20/20 creature on your 6th turn

Ever heard of Sakiko, Mother of Summer? It is a creature from the Kamigawa block that says that whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to a player, add that much green mana to your mana pool. Sounds like fun...

I love this card!!! Add canopy cover with a bunch of mana in your pool and you have one game closed! Even if not used offensively, it can help you get out insanely huge creatures fast! It's worth basing a deck around.

With the new elimination of Mana Burn in 2010 ruleset, this card is absolutely amazing. [and slightly overpowered.] From reading the new rules, I took it as this card allows mana to stay in the pool throughout phases and steps, and also players do not take mana burn for each mana left untapped in the pool. Thusly, this thing can get huge every turn, and stay that way. Maybe I read it wrong, but yeah.

...No such thing as mana burn guys... That was taken out during M10... This is one of the most underrated cards of this cycle. Everyone will see as soon as Rise of Eldrazi comes out. This card has flew under the radar since ithas been released but once mono green elf decks are pulling out an Emrakul on Turn 4 thats when things will get interesting!

To the dude above that said mana burn from losing it could kill you, you'd be right if the M10 revision of the rules didn't REMOVE MANA BURN. He'd only be rare if mana burn were still a factor.

Without a doubt, BETTER THAN TARMOGOYF!!!!!!!! how has no one figured this out yet? this guy is awesome and he should be the big money card, not tarmogoyf. sure, tarmogoyf is good, but is garbage compared to this.

it means that at the end of your phases/steps, main phase, combat, cleanup, etc., you can cast spells with however mana you started each step/phase with.

if you tapped 6 forests, he is a 7/7, and during each step/phase, you can cast a spell or spells that would use up to 6 green mana.

This is a good card, but only if you luck out enough that someone doesn't pull a doom blade or a journey to knowhere, or something else of the like. However, the possibilities of this card are enough for it to be played widely, especially with genesis waves in your deck. Don't know the card? Check it out.

I'd like it... if there was such thing as a Dark Ritual for GREEN! WHICH WOULD BE AWESOME!

PRETTY AWESOME. Got one inmy booster box. @the dude that was asking what it does, basically it lets your green mana stay in your pool indefinitely, so you can tap all your green mana every turn, and simultaneously build a massive mana reserve, AND pump Omnom up. This creature + Canopy Cover is a brutal combo, but my FAV combo is building a huge reserve and casting wolfbriar elemental for a massive amount of wolf tokens.

Interesting card... as for what it does, it allows you to build up green mana supplies over multiple phases/turns (i.e. after upkeep phase or discard phase). As your green mana supply increases, so does Omnath's power and toughness.

BE CAREFUL! if your Omnath gets killed/removed at the end of the wrong phase, u could be in for A LOT of mana burn. Its a bit of a catch22 - the stronger you want Omnath to be, the more likely to receive high mana burn you are and the less spells you can play; the weaker you want Omnath to be, the less likely to receive high mana burn you are and the more spells you can play, however, in this case, is it really worth while having Omnath in your deck...?

To answer your question, it CAN be a good card, it's really a gamble card. What it translates to is this
"You can tap all the green mana you want and it doesn't go away or empty from your pool"
"For each GRREN mana you have, this card gets +1/+1"
