It's to put on you opponents land when they use a non island deck, not just to use on yourself and helps you keep a hand advantage by drawing a card. How can they play with mountains when you've made them all islands?

this card will shut out a jund and give a good control player more time to do his thing. definitely a five star card

If your going to bash a card, at least have the dignity to use proper grammer and spelling you twit. Spreading Seas is great because it can shut out your oppenents lands, such as their Inkmoth Nexus, Vala, or any land they happen to have. It also allows you to draw a card as well. Yeah, i dont see how this card is so bad.
