its good, but i have a red nova dragon, not the same effect, but better! compared to this, red nova is a must have for the decks that want to have the best cards. i admit that i dont have this, but red nova looks cooler and is much better overall. i am working or colleting the entire series of every single main dragon of the 5 mains of the 5d's. i currently have a blackwinged dragon, red dragon archfiend, and red nova dragon. the best of all the main dragons is stardust re-born. infinite attack, infinite defence, and undestroyable. better than exodia, this card is top-secret and will be released into store in an estimated 3 to 4 years, once yugioh gets much more popular. it is still not totally known of the release of stardust re-born, however. GO RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND, ALL OF THE MODES, AND ALL OF THE FANS!!!!!!!!

Now as i said in my Stardust Dragon/Assault mode Review, this card is above all the strongest in terms of ATK of the Assault mode monsters, however, the real prize of this card is the effect. It is an instant Dark Hole as soon as he attacks and is successful at it. I already dished out amazing combos with the Normal synchro version of this card but using Card Rotator and Wings of Itaqua, But that won't be needed to do with this More powerful Monster now. With the Dark hole effect combined with spirit reaper's invincible effect, Red Dragon Assault mode is most certainly going to be seen in decks alongside Stardust Assault mode as well. Because if Stardust Assault mode would be destroyed by the effect of Red Dragon Assault mode, You can special the original Stardust, which still has an amazing effect. All in all, a must have card of all the Crimson Crisis cards. Make sure you test this card against your friends with your best decks of course, to see if you are truly ready to handle the might that this card can deliver. I am hoping that a Black Rose dragon Assault mode will be created. Of course that will be too "Godly".

This card is often compared unfavorably to Stardust Dragon / Assault mode, but its effect definitely holds its own against that of its counterpart. Stardust Dragon / Assault Mode (like the original,) is a very defensive card. It's almost guaranteed to keep you safe, but won't necessarily be able to get in its own attacks. On the other hand, Red Dragon Archfiend / Assault Mode all but guarantees a 3000-damage hit (or greater,) but won't necessarily survive long. If one's opponent runs out of monsters, Assault Mode gets to attack directly, if, however, one's opponent has monsters and a trap card to destroy Assault Mode (say, Sakuretsu Armor,) Assault Mode goes down, but Red Dragon Archfiend comes back to launch a free hit. Remember, having Assault Mode die does not end the battle phase.

Neither of the 5D's Assault Modes are perfect, but Stardust Dragon is overhyped, while Red Dragon Archfiend is undervalued.
