yet it doesn't change any damage you would take from a cost effect, pay 500, its very good against burn decks and works perfectly with dark world cards. discard to negate the destruction and then they have another creature to deal with. such as silla and wu lord- golld - sorry about the misspelling but you can find them by searching dark world.

i personally just bought
Veil of Darkness
this card and
Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World

As far as I know, it can reverse Brain Research Lab so you gain 1,000 life points for each Psychic counter on it instead of taking 1,000 damage for each one when it's removed from the field. I think it might also be a staple in Psychic decks because of it.

Very good card, helps to negate many of your opponent's traps that involve destroying, such as sakurestu armor and various monster effects. Great card and looks amazing in Gold Rare. Well worth the money spent.

This card is actually really great. Monarch decks should include him, unless they're Syncro heavy. If you don't synch for Stardust in your deck, you should consider this guy. His life point effect is a little useless, but the power to negate and send a Dandy or Ronintoadin from your hand to the grave, or set up a White Knight for Dragon Decks to bring back, is pretty sick. Plus you can drop Honest on this guy, a nice little bonus that Stardust doesn't have. It's hard to get rid of a card you can't destroy with a card effect, and you can't get over in battle thanks to Honest. This guy is so great, and there are even more possibilities. If you like negating cards and frustrating opponents, this is a good way to do that.

Staple in any dragon deck along with Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon.
This card will protect your dragons from destruction.

I've looked at the rulings of this card and it does work, and this would do perfect for my dragon deck. Have Precious Cards From Beyond, Masoleum Of The Emperor, Ultimate Offering, and this card on the field and you should be able to gain 2500 LP everytime you summon a LV 7 or higher monster. Preacious Cards From Beyond lets you keep drawing the two cards for each summon you make and if its another LV 7 or higher, summon it with Masoleum (I didn't see any ruling on Precious saying it "had" to be a monster just a Tribute so....).

The downside of this is your opponent being able to gain 2000+ LP a turn, but you should be able to take him/her out in the first turn these cards are set up.

And your choice of being able to destroy a card that destroys card(s) is awesome, a perfect way to get back at annoying Stardust and Starlight Road.

Awesome Card. I used this many times with my friend's deck and plus it's perfect against burn decks and perfect against cards that destroy, probably an equal or even better, easier to access version of Stardust dragon, Still watch this card's Effect, the opponent will gain lifepoints if you use magic cylinder against it...or something... anways awesome card, plus the gold looks good aswell.

I'm sorry, Ultimate Offering and Masoleum of the Emperor LP deductions are costs not damage so Prime Material Dragon's effect wouldn't work. Yet the negation effect still stands tall!
