Cheap to put into play, easy to equip, excellent defence against many too-expensive-to-loose creatures. I´ve won several games with more than two participants simply because the opponents has found it more profitable to attack eachother than to send their champions into a certain death. Still this card only works if you have regenerating abilities, cheap creatures or good ways to return creatures from your graveyard. If you don't have that, you will end up with a good-for-nothing equipment with no hands to hold it for you.
