***** I run 4 in my B/R Draw/Discard deck. Shocker, Burning Inquiry, Runeflare Trap, Lilianna's Caress, etc. I do use Wheel of Fortune in my casual build, but take 'em out when I go to Legacy Tourney. Spiteful Visions is also fun to run in the deck, and have been considering throwing in Kederekt Parasite to add 3x forms of Underworld damage. Take that you Brainstorm nazi's! Especially Jace, tMS... Next build I think is going to be with Nether Void and Vexing Shusher so I don't have to pay the (3) but rather just a (R) to prevent Nether Void countering, and lock-down the pace of the game.

*** ..good for any discard deck ...but i got 3 words for this one.... tempest of light....hehehe...

**** The best combo i have seen is using this with a megrim out and the red card from m10 that makes you draw three and discard three randomly even with one megrim out its a instant 9 damage for 1 red.can't beat it 2 megims out 15 dmg for 1 red and on the crazy side i've seen 4 of these been out with 4 megrims.it was crazy it was 36 damage for 1 mana.

***** It's not restricted in a Standard tourney

***** font of mythos anyone?

**** Underworld Dreams, Megrim, and Anvil of Bogardan. Even with just one of each in play, they draw two (taking two damage) then discard one (taking two more). Adding one more of any of the three to the mix increases the damage during their draw phase, throw in some Hippies and other discard to add to it.

*** yeah, with forced fruition it's crazy. it's also crazy with howling mine and shah of naar isle or just put into a deck randomly. problem is...none besides howling mine is black/can be used in a black deck, and the mana cost is no fun at all. combined with howling mine, megrim, and tyrannize, it's awesome, but...mana cost = ouch.

***** Combo this with Forced Fruition

***** lol at underworld dreams and timetwister /wheel of fortune combo

***** I got a blue/black/red deck with Underworld Dreams teferis puzzle box Cerebral Vortex niv-mizzet Psychic Possession. Now this is a deadly mixture.

**** Together with drain power, brain geyser, mind twist in a blue/black-deck with some dark rituals, would work well too, ofc. Versatile card, feels complicated to use though, might just be better to leave as a counter against a certain play type.

***** You have already seen a few combinations, but mix in Teferi's Puzzle Box, and splash some green with some things to pull from your graveyard, such as eternal witness (should some of your combo peices be destroyed), fog, and some moments peace, and you have a way of stalling the game long enough to do serious damage to everyone. Once my friend had Shizen, a howling, and the puzzle box out, and the legendary land that when you pay 2 everyone draws a card, managed an 11 damage upkeep to someone.

***** back when i started playing magic, this was my favorite card. it is still in my top 5. lets talk combos. anvil of bogardan. howling mine. prosperity. arcane denial. howling mine. the list goes on and on. if only this weren't restriced. it's too bad really, with all of the cards that are type 2 legal, this one should be unrestricted now also. petition, anyone?

***** Underworld Dreams, Seizan, Howling mines. Nothing more needs to be said.

-- By Aaron from Connecticut on March 21, 2005

***** Megrim, Underworld, and cephalid broker.... Draw two discard two take six! NYA NYA!

-- By Anonymous from Chicago on October 27, 2003

***** i have a mono black deck with this and four howling mines in it, i dont have to attack at all, i just sit back and watch the other player commit suicide.
