***** Lotus Petal+Forest+Channel+Emrakul on first turn. Game

  -- By Wildfire_777 from PR on October 30, 2010

***** Leads to "good game" combos at almost any stage in the game, from face-melting turn one wins to completely reversing momentum in the late game. The only drawback is that it leaves you open in the late game if your opponent somehow breaks your combo: a single counterspell can leave you in a tight spot. Oh yeah, I'm glad they changed the art: this version is much easier on the eyes.

***** helloooo... Forest + lotus petal + channel + banefire + fork = 1st turrn kill!

***** The card that changed the game forever!

***** Throw in fastbond, play channel, and get your colossus on the first turn

***** I love Channel because it enables some sick, agressive plays like a 2nd turn Darksteel Colussus. Later in the game it's a good source for colorless mana, but as the game progresses, the need for Channel starts to diminish. At some point, you just don't need it anymore. Yet still, this card is screwing around with the principles of the early turns. Normally, you don't smash big creatures onto the table (unless you're running Lotus Cobras or another way of mana acceleration) before turn 5 or 6. To cast an 11/11 trample, indestructible artifact creature spells doom for your opponent unless he or she is running Path to Exile or Pacifism spells.

***** How come the coolest cards get used by people with no imagination? By far the most fun way to use channel is LATE game. Have out 2 Minion Reflectors, channel for a darksteel Colossus, copy it twice and send the copies (they have haste) at your opponent. For more fun, have out 3 twinning glasses and for 12 mana, you can cast 4 Colossus of Sardia, if you have out minion reflector, you can get 4 MORE Colossus of Sardia (with haste) for an additional 8. There are too many Magic players that think small.

**** Forest + Black Lotus + Channel + Fireball = Good game without giving a change to your opponent to even drop a land. Wanna make it Force of Will proof? Use this combo on your second turn with Banefire (or first turn if you can drop a mox ruby (probably your opponent would just have drop a land, and maybe a chump blocker or a mana elf. One star penalty because is banned on most of the categories and lame seen among friends.

**** Channel, any land card that can generate mana the turn you play it, Banefire or Fireball or anything like that, and Black Lotus (if you can afford it) and you can beat your opponent in one turn with just these four cards.

***** This card works for so many combos its not funny.

***** Best. Card. Ever. OK, not really. But it can be painful, turn three Krosan Cloudscraper painful. Not to mention Snake Basket.

-- By Anonymous from Ucluelet, BC, Canada on May 25, 2004

**** An excellent card for early in the game combos. Play with a Fireball and a Lightning Bolt and *BAM* opponent gone in the fourth turn! Much fun card to have in your deck.
