**** Goodness, I've been in love with the Fires ever since I ever saw it. It runs extremely well with red/green smashdown decks. It might not meet the standart of today's cards, but this enchantment is still well capable of breaking your opponents defence and win you the game combined with cost efficient creatures like Hungry Spriggan :) For those of you who don't want to use too many money, but still have a decent red/green beatdown thats fun to play with, I'd reccomment Hungry Spriggans and some of these :)

**** The star of Blastoderm. Burn things that are in the way and play a Blastoderm for 5 points; finish them with Saproling Burst. Don't sac your fires unless it wins you the game (or you have another in your hand).

***** Excellent in any green/red deck design . . . Your opponents will hate it.

**** What a great card. This guy lets you make those fading cards more powerful than they already are with an extra turn to attack or use a special ability. As if that couldn't kick butt already, you can sac it to give a creature +2/+2 (as an instant fast-action I might add)! That ought to make your opponent think twice before attacking. Also it can be sacced to deliver the final blow. The only drawback is that its 1RED 1GREEN 1COLORLESS. Those playing mono-color green or red decks may find this a problem. But hey, that what Birds of Paradise and dual/pain lands are for right??
