Cards of note in this set are many, including the Power Nine cards at the top of the heap. Ancestral Recall, Black Lotus, Mox Emerald, Mox Jet, Mox Pearl, Mox Ruby, Mox Sapphire, Timetwister & Time Walk make up the Power Nine.  Additionally Dual Lands, Birds of Paradise, Serra Angel, Sol Ring & many other notable cards are found throughout the set.

With all of the mana producing cards green has, the upkeep isn't as bad as it looks. Even if you're playing a two color deck this is a powerhouse worth running at least a couple of.

Probably my favorite card in the game, except possibly Thran Forge. There are so many ways around that 8 damage during your upkeep: Spirit Link, COP: Green, Reverse Damage, and combine this with cheap ways to get it or to keep getting it like Hymn of Rebirth, Call of the Wild+Sylvan Library, Resurrection, Natural Order or Lure of Prey. Since I decided to stop buying any newer cards in Weatherlight because everything new was too overpowered, there are probably even better ways to get around the upkeep penalty. Use your imagination.

It's a decent card...but T&T got it wrong. This card came from the RELEASE tournament of 9th edition.

This is a great card to combo with Eon Hub. You get an 8/8 Trampler for six mana and you can forget about the extra cost until the other player shatters your hub. Even having to pay the four mana shouldn't be that much of a problem.

Powerful card in a deck. Especially with natural order. Sacrifice a Llanowar elves and bring out this big boy. Time for a beating.

this is a good card. an 8/8 trample that cost six is always a great card also if you having trouble tapping 4 forests just get a a few moss diamonds

6 mana for an 8/8 creature that alone is good enough a reason for 5 stars, but the fact that it also has trample earns it 10 stars. the only downfall is that you have to pay 4 mana during your upkeep for it to not deal 8 damage to you.

Good card but i don't like paying an upkeep every turn so i would just go with an avatar of might.

This can be a good card if you know how to play it. I wouldn't build my deck around it but in a G/W deck, 2 x Force of Nature, lots of Llanowar Elves and Birds of Paradise or Wild Growth for acceleration (get this bad boy out possibly on turn 4), then Circle of Protection Green! No need to spend GGGG each turn.

Having CoP Green just for Force of Nature is kind of a waste, so throw in 2 or 3 Hurricanes and you can protect yourself from Hurricane's damage while damaging your opponent. Green burn is something that most players will not prepare against.

Anytime you have to pay 4 mana every turn during your upkeep you have problems with your card selections.
