This is still one of my favourite cards of all time. I started playing Magic shortly before Alliances was released; as it was the first set to come out after I got hooked, the Outpost was my first "favourite" card. It was so much fun to create a pile of Soldiers, then drop up to 4 Crusades and send my pumped-up minions in to finish off my friends. Long live the White Weenie deck!

AMAZING! no counterspells, effective card advantage, and the drawback isnt even noticable in a soldier deck (you play white weenies because they are cheep, you can sack the plains for an effective new plains.) you can also tap the plains for mana, play this, sac the old plains, tap another, and generate a dude. REPRINT THIS CARD PLEASE!

One of the best lands ever printed, the Outpost makes Soldier tokens. It is perhaps the only card that lets you get a number of creatures that cannot be counterspelled.

ok i see how humilty can be so great with this card... and dont forget orms prayer (2w 1colorless enchantment: gain 1 life for each creature that attacks you, it will completly stop your opponent from attacking.. they would rather keep blockers and you can eventually out make soldiers and win..
another great card with this ELSBETH!!!, (she will make it industructable, along with the soldiers it makes, so see ya wasteland, ghost quarter) and another great card that works real well is aura shards (1 g 1w 1colorless enchantment, whenever a creature comes into play under your control, you may destroy target artifact or enchantment TAKE THAT "WORKS" DECK!!)
and as for zoo, you can just out make creatures and with elsbeths "god" ability, it doesnt matter how big there creatures are.. and finally, the "crem de la crem" of cards to support "dude ranch"(the nickname of kjeldoran outpost, for you "normal" people) CONGRATE!!!!!!

A great card, and unless I don't know my magic, the only token generator that can't be counterspelled. So why only four stars? Well, you have to sack a plains for it to come into play. without going into all of its neat uses and combos this card is a truly unique and fun treat to play. I love watching the faces of blue mages go through all kinds of contortions when I play it.....heh heh heh
