This is one of the best cards in ice age. I use an all green deck and this card helps in so many ways. -- By Dan from FL orlando on March 02, 2002 |

This card definitely posesses awesome power and brings many strategies with it. The only problem is, I think many people will try to build an entire deck around these babies(or at least I've seen a few decks built around them). I think it is way too hard to build a deck around a creature unless that creature is virtually indestructible, like morphling. -- By Eric Bauman from Huson, OH USA on September 05, 2002 |

You do not need to build a deck around it...it will go perfect in most green decks anyway...if someone kills off a verdant force and an avatar of might (for example), I just throw one of these bad boys out and he is a 15/16, it will take alot of direct damage to kill THAT off... -- By from on February 10, 2003 |

I love this card. It is great late in tournament play when your both down. -- By Anonymous from las vegas, NV on March 31, 2003 |

This Card, IMO, Is one of the most devistating cards that could ever possibly
be played during late in the game. Now lets say that you are playing multiple
Player games on up to...lets say 7 people now everyone has at least 3 creatures
In the graveyard and at least two people have collossule sized creatures of 10-13
Now IF you play a creature with the power equal to all of that.....and depending
on what color deck you got it could easily have flaying, haste, vilgilance,or even
fear and if you have an artifact green deck you could make it unblockable by all
creatures. -- By jesse chenoweth from eagle point, oregon on January 15, 2005 |

Lurgoyf is a decent card and works great with a zombie deck -- By Anonymous from cleavlandohusa on June 09, 2005 |

first use wrath of god then get this bad boy out -- By Mirazel from joffre, pa on April 30, 2006 |

I won a tournament back in the day ('96) based upon Lhurgoyph with Jockulhaups, elves, and Orcish Lumberjacks - a good deck for when I was breaking out of scrubhood. There are other creatures that are obviously better, but this card is a sentimental favorite of mine. -- By J.Z. from SoCal on July 17, 2006 |

this card would work great in a token deck. Think once a bunch your tokens are sent to the graveyard you could send him out to finish the job. A combo of him and Phyrexian Dreadnought could wipe someone out. First you would get something like symbolic wryn out sac it and five of its seven tokens play dreadnought and Lhurgoyf and thats a 12/12 trample, a *6/*7, and two 1/1 tokens in two turns for 13 mana(Eight the first turn and five the second). -- By Anonymous from cleveland, oh usa on August 21, 2006 |

Tokens don't "go to the graveyard".
Alright card. The times have passed it by horribly. There are so much better green, 4 cc creatures out there that are better in every situation.
3 stars since it's a bit of a legend. -- By Anonymous from Alabama on January 30, 2008 |
