An awesome card. Combine this with Akroma's Vengeance.
6th turn akroma's Vengeance. Your opponent has one turn to get something out. Then desolation. AWESOME CARD.

Combination card, very good when combined with mageta, wipe everything out and deal your opponent 8 damage a turn. Easily one of the best cards in apocalypse which was a bad set.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Play Magenta the Lion with this beauty. Destroy their creatures, and their lands, while you still have TWO nice creatures on the board. You can have then finish them in two to four turns.

I love this card. A 5/4 flier is worth 5-6 mana, so you get an Armageddon for only 1-2 extra. I use it along with artifact mana, other large creatures, and Overgrown Estate. However, do not, I repeat DO NOT, use Elvish Piper or any other shortcuts to get it into play, since you can't play the kicker that way and you just lose all your land.

Play a Skyshroud Blessing and your all set I mean your gonna have a 5/4 flying creature in play and still have all your lands. Use an Elvish Piper and you get in to play for just three manna!

One of the most powerful cards of all time. I argue its placement behind spirtmonger in the top 10. Combine this baby with a kirtar's wrath (play the wrath first) and you've got a win the game combo.

1st turn: Remote Farm - 2nd turn: Remote Farm, Warrior en-Kor - 3rd turn: Peat bog, Warrior en-Kor
- 4th turn: Swamp, Desolation Angel - What did you lose?

YOU try to deal with 5/4 flyer and no lands on the board! Totally sweet if you play a B/W control deck.

i like to play her in a blue/black counter deck. I mean heck if your going to spend 5 mana and get your lands blasted away you might as well stifle or trickbind to counter the triggered ability that will affect you

i always wandered when people went "tribal" (and they did more with angels than anything thing else i can think of other than "goblins" and perhaps "zombies") why they didn't put just a tad more thought into it, even for casual play. for instance, if i was going to build an "angel" deck i would try to cram as many abilities or effects with the most amount of same mana symbols as possible. and probably the constant 'urza's incubator.' but you knew that. anyway, blow up lands with one angel, shut down creatures with 'blinding angel,' gain life with 'exalted angel.' and that's only two colors in my mana base so far. now i would have to do a little more research(if i was so inclined which i'm not, sorry) to see what angels are out there in the whole of MTG and then put something together like this babie. sadly, most people who seem to like angel decks ....education seems to have ended early and took an early detour into "spitball 101" or "ogling girls and drooling" or sadly, "skateboard, bong, and you..."(sorry, but i got to call them like i see them). so by the time you see them again they'll be hardly recognizable and shouting "allah akbar" and being carted away to some holding facility in a foreign land. that or finding the delights or crocheting with an early onset of alzheimer's.........................

The angel does not target the lands, so they would in fact still be destroyed - however, this does not lessen the potency of this very powerful card.

Definately one of the most powerful cards of the set. If your able to drop it (v-big flyer) and armageddon at the same time you should have won the game. erhnamgeddon decks were so succesful for this, now you get the combo in one card...

The angel is deadly to your opponents in some decks but in others it is deadly to you. exp. if your playing a blue deck and you cast the angel with the kicker then on your opp turn they play an island and cast unsummon or seal of removal. white deck they have a sacred ground whick makes your angel useless to them . red deck they wipe out your lands with stone rain , pillage , demolish , wildfire , etc. with cards like these you are better of to cast it without the kicker if you ever have the land to do it with .
