a great card but it would be much beter for a spirit deck if it cost 7 promised kanuchi is probably the highest soul shift you'll see and it barely misses returning this to your hand but it is still a great card for and green deck (with 7 as the cost it would merit 20 stars at least though)

I use this with my Wurm deck, I added 8 mana to my mana pool, then i tapped this big guy and added another 8. I used it with Riptide Replicator, and got 12 counters on it! Thats a 12/12 Wurm a turn! The guy is absolutely amazing, and awesome with a Snake deck, the best patron! Absolutely amazing!

try this in a tooth and nail, especially if youve got a lightning greaves in play.......it works well with the piper seadborn muse combo too, try it with a wierd harvest, and a black moijin somewhere in there....................

umm...i guess technically it's mana accelerating, but once you get 8 lands out there, chances are that you have all the mana that you want. did you notice it untaps *all* forests and green creatures, not just your own? ...yeah. and you can't use its ability the turn it comes into play, since it's a tap ability. I'm pretty sure its ability untaps itself, which is pretty tricky, because it taps to play the ability, then it goes on the stack and untaps everything. but still...i would have a hard time justifying this in most decks. of course you can get it out there early in a snake deck, but there goes your card advantage...
