This is one of the best Invitational cards ever printed (Dark Confidant is definitely better). The ol' Sad Robot brings mana fixing to all colors and cantrips to boot! 3 for 1 is nothing to scoff at. Ancestral Recall does the same thing and only in blue decks. Do the math, good = good!

Amazing in almost any deck. Mana acceleration, card draw, stalling with a blocker, castable in any colour etc

Here's an answer to yer question: Card advantage. It lets you put a land in play (mana accel) and draw one when it dies chump blocking. Very nice in casual multiplayer, I'm geting 4!

Let's see now. It's an artifact creature. Can you say "combos with Skeleton Shard"? Play it to rip a land from your deck, you draw a card when it dies, and you can return it to your hand with SS for D. Excellent. For even better results, add Phyrexian Vault (the artifact that costs 3; pay 2, tap, sac a creature to draw a card).

Solemn Simulacrum and Venser, good way to thin out your deck. 4 stars because of its casting cost.

Solemn is still one of the best multi-duty creatures in decks like U/G. It is not a deck-thinner extraordinaire as many say, but it does work quite effectively as a Kodama's Reach sans a land and plus a 2/2. Not cheap, though.

very helpful card for thinning the deck and helping your manabase although for 4 mana and its pricetag its a tough call as to whether its worth it or not...still a good card though

Um ... this isn't really a review, but why is this card so popular, and why does it cost so much?? Am I missing sumthin? I have it, got it in a booster pack, don't really care for it. What is everybody using it for??
