The thing you miss about the elf combo is that it requires only two specific cards. I'm not generally a green player, and even I have an elf deck. They're quick and easy and cheap to build, and there's no reason not to have Priest of Titania in them, it's already a staple. Adding Staff of Domination to the typical elf deck, with NO OTHER MODIFICATIONS, adds the potential for infinite mana in addition to the non-combo usefulness of the staff itself. It's not a tricky combo. Have 5+ elves in play (which you generally will in any decent elf deck), have one of the elves be Priest of Titania, and have the Staff out. That's it.

the above ideas might work(i havent looked at the cards) but 7 elves and the staff??? too many cards...heres a combo for you artifact deck guys
Staff of Domination X2 + Clock of omens + Artifact land enchanted with dawns reflection = Infinite mana loop, draw your deck, set off the goblin cannon for 500,000 damage....goblins for the win

I personally use it in my elf deck and it rocks hard! As the above person said: Priest of Titania + 4 more elves + This one = Infinite life, infinite mana, infinite tap creatures and draw up your hole library. Just use this combo to get lets say 1 000 000 mana and gain some life, draw up your library until you get Hurricane, play it, game win.

oh this is just embarrasing. Im the FIRST ONE to write a review of this amazing card??? I mean if you put it in an elf deck you can literally have INFINITE LIFE AND INFINITE MANA. Want me to explain? Priest of titania and 6 elves. Do the math, you can create a never ending mana cycle by using the staff along with your elves. You literally gain one mana each cycle and it never FREAKING ENDS. How does a 1,000,000,000/1,000,000,000 ivy elemental sound? Ive done it personally

best use is with metalworker. need to keep 3 artifacts in hand but can easily get you infinite life, infinite colorless mana and draw your deck on turn 2.

I might be a strange guy, but I use it in my U/B draw-go deck. When I have around 6-7 lands, i can drop this one, and still be able to make a counter in my opponents round. After this turn, you can use it to deplete your last mana. Paying 5 mana to draw a card might seem like alot, but you will be able to draw a card pretty often. The other abilities makes it a versatile card, wich can bring surprises for your opponent, like for example untapping a creature you control, and then use it to block. The only drawback i can think of is that I have to play it in my round, which defeats the purpose of a draw-go deck. It's worth it if you can pull it off though. This card, think twice and mystical teachings should be enough to keep the counterspells coming. I wouldn't recommend more than one of it in the deck though, it's not like you ever would need another staff instead of a counter.
