Purity

This card is 5 stars for me, it may not be for others, and I'll tell you why. Purity + Ajani Goldmane = mega avatars. You could even use bullwhip to make sure there are creatures attacking you each turn. I would use it in a Kor heavydeck so you can redirect damage from purity to other creatures, then use soul link to gain more life. If it gets destroyed, what does it matter? You get it back anyway! I use weathered bodyguards to take the brunt of any further combat attacks, coupled with a soul link again and you keep the life rising and rising. This is quite possibly the most infuriating deck i have built so far, and Purity is a crucial part of it. Not so great maybe for other decks but perfect for this one.

Yes, a six cost for a 6/6 flyer is incredible, but look at this. Imagine if you were able to get Purity and Vigor out on the field at the same time! Even better, get Purity shroud. Sure, this would make it an easy target for combat damge, so just don't block with it. Great card.

How can this not be a five star card? six mana for a 6/6 flyer ALONE is tremendous. While this card isnt one half of any UNBEATABLE combos, using it for what it is, a painful flyer, for not much mana... i fully endorse purity.

This + Vigor + Ashling the Pilgrim kills it in multi. Life gain and creature pump for you, damage for everything else. to make it really fun add necroskitters and give ashling a blight sickle :D. Use brighthearth banneret, flamekin harbinger and smokebraider to avert the mana issues. You can run all of these in lorwyn block too.

3 stars, just because it's a sideboard card...this pus a vigor or 2 against a burn deck is outstanding, but...how many competitive straight burn decks have you seen lately? exactly~ maybe it would work in vintage or legacy where there are lightning bolts and fireballs and fireblasts and stuff...but in type 2...meh...yes, a 6/6 flyer for 6 is amazing, but its not as good maindecked as, say, dread...which has an evasion ability too but a maindeck (mostly) effect. plus...terror...i guess it would be good in a deck with psi blasts or chars...but thats just kind of an obscure ombo that, once again, probably isnt worth maindecking.

This is a pretty cool card.Not the best of the elemental incarnations, though. I don't understand the guy who says this is an easy target for unmake, then suggests Vigor and Guile instead. Unmake will get rid of those two just as easily as it would Purity, so I don't know what he is trying to say, but it makes no sense to me

Wish it was as good as Exalted Angel, but it is still great for life protection from spells or abilties.

I think this card is highly overrated. Sure, 6-6 flyer for six, but this thing is to much of an easy target for unmakes or the like. If i were you I'd get guile or vigor. All in all this card is just way to limited. And in modern control or burn decks this wouldnt stay on your side for long.
