RAKDOS BLOODSPORT
The Rakdos guild goes on killing sprees like most people go on shopping sprees, spreading mayhem across the city for the pure joy of it. As the hellbent mechanic proves, action-frenzied, violent action--is far more important than thought.

this deck takes a LOT of editing. first take out all the cards with a mana cost of 5 or more. in my deck, it is full of 1 mana creatures like torpid moloch, slithering shade, prickly boggart, scorched rusalka, goblin sledder, and others. ive added a lot of one mana sacrifice creatures to it make it easier to get out avatar of woe with only two mana. also simian spirit guide is a good addition. also dont put in two many lands. ive replaced a few mountains with simian spirit guides.also mind-swords is really good because not only does it give you a chance to sacrifice a creature making avatar of woe a two mana creature, but you discard some spare lands in your hand. this is the fastest deck that i own out of my 8 decks. it is even faster than my goblin duel deck! some spells ive added include tarfire and more seal of fires. when i played this deck in a 4 person free for all i held off a horde of kithkin from one person, took blows from a infiltrator-magemark-equipped 8/8 creature from another person, but i also was in a last stand with a 5 color sliver deck from another person!!!

This deck is the best!!!!! I have this deck and I know. One time I got Rakdos Guildmage and I had enough mana to use both it's abilities. I got rid of one creature and attacked with a 2/1 goblin.

This deck is possibly one of the greatest and well-organized decks that I have ever used. The deck's cards work superbly together, and hellbent is an awesome effect.

This deck is ok...I kind of changed it around way too much :D
First I took out all of the creatures but Gobhobbler Rats and the Guildmage, then FILLED it with land destruction (4 Caustic Rain, 4 Pillage, 4 each Molten and Stone Rain, 3 Pyroclasms) and then put in some burn spells and creature killers (Cruel Edict, Disciple of Tevesh-Svat...or something I don't know how to spell it..., 4 each Seal of Fire and Shock, 3 Lava Spike, and plenty of others) and topped it off with 4 Taste for Mayhems (Combine them with the rats when you're ready, and then the rat is a 7/2 that regenerates...0.o!!

I'm a beginerr but I really like this deck. It's the only deck I have actually managed to win a couple of games with(I also played with ninjutsu) but it's maybe because I'm a noob :) I tweeked it a lot but I think it's worth it. Pretty decent

This deck is a real mess when it starts out, but it was a blast to play, since it is all about smashing stuff. To modify it, take out everything that costs more than 4 mana, because you'll want to get hellbent as quickly as possible. Some of the cheaper things are horrid as well, including Torpid Moloch, Ragamuffyn, Nihilistic Glee (works better in Orzhov), Douse in Gloom, Slithering Shade, Sadistic Augermage, Rakdos Ickspitter, and Taste for Mayhem. Wrecking Ball and Cackling Flames are so-so, as they deprive you of hellbent since you want to have them in your hand until the last second before use, so consider sideboarding.

Max out the Gobhobbler Rats, Rakdos Guildmages, Lyzolda, the Blood Witches, and Seal of Fires, and put in 4 Jagged Poppets, which will serve as the Burning-Tree Shaman of the Rakdos. Hellhole Rats is a nifty addition as well, since you can use it's ability to discard from your hand as well if you have a land left or something, and more often than not, your opponent will discard something with a mana cost as opposed to a land (= no dmg). Other cards up for contention are Rakdos Augermage and Crypt Champion, although the Augermage is cheaper and won't return an opponent's creature to play. Rakdos Pit Dragon is a pretty good creature too, except it is a bit dependent on red mana, but for a 3/3 hellbent dbl-strike creature it's worth it.

Now go bash some heads in with the Rakdos!

It's full of cheap creatures, but I don't really like thr Hellbent mechanic. And it's full of creatures that can't attack

Rating the deck as you buy it, it's medicore at best. Few creatures that are flying and few ways take out flying creatures makes it vulnerable to other decks. It does have potential to win simply through suicide tactics. However, adding some of the other cards to it can make it one mean ground and pound deck that is worthy of a five star rating.

Not a lot of interesting creatures or twists. I've really enjoyed the other pre-con decks from Coldsnap, Guildpact, X, and Shadowmoor. Most of the time, WOTC has fun pre-con decks. For me, however, Dissension was a dud. It's also interesting that I already had most of these cards from a random set of cards from Toad and Troll (350 uncommon/rare cards for $9.99 and 1000 common for $10). My kid and I have had a LOT of fun with the random cards. The Dissension decks are going in with the random cards.

Writing this review on behalf of a friend. He completely loathes this deck. He literally uses it to prop up his kitchen table. The hellbent made you rely too much on next card you drew, with no opportunity to bluff with your unknown cards. Takes the fun out of magic
