This card is just phenominal. If you are not getting your black excel early on you can just morph him out turn 3. Turn 4 swing him, then morph if there are no complications. 6 Dmg is nothing to scoff at on turn 4 and allows you to hold on to some answers for your metagame. Dunno why some people hate the Morph ability; saying it's way too slow... well it can be slow, but, it's best used for shock and aww... And when you can think of other nasty morphers like Exalted Angel and the fact you could get it out 3 turns sooner than simply hard casting it turn 6 and attack with it on the fourth after you morph it; allowing you to do 12 dmg in the same time it would take to just slap her down onto the field.

This is awesome card. With Dark Ritual you can get it in play in the second turn. On the third turn you play Spirit Link on it, so you get life as much as it causes damage, so the 2 life you lose is nothing. After that a couple of Unholy Strenghts on it and you have already won the game unless you opponent has something like Pacifism, Arrest or Shackless. Pretty cool, huh.

The new age Juzam Djinn. I could do without morph, i think it's a rather stupid ability.

I am running four grinning demons in my blue and black speed deck, and they are great combined with nantuko husk and crafty pathmage when the demon starts hurting you to bad you make nantuko husk unblockable then sack the demon so they take four damage. I love these guys they rule next to juzam in the world.

Beats out Juzam, Negator, and Scuta as the best, big, black meanie. Awesome, gives black even more powerful creatures. Great kill card in a mono-black control deck. Five stars.

If Grinning Demon were just a large and a bit more painful Juzamm, it would be amazing, but throw in the fact that it can morph, avoiding the damage for one turn, and thats just plain nuts. With all the current black trends in the game, im going to have to recomend everyone find a set of these and hold on to 'em cause black is fast becomming the best color in the game!

one day, long ago, a creature named juzam djinn ruled the seven seas. the day has come for a new ruler to reign in his place and that creature is the powerhouse grinning demon. think about it, grinning demon ( who i call grinning juzam demon djinn ) is 6/6! compare THAT with a 5/5! which one is better hmm???? also, it has morph! does juzzie have morph? i thought not. the loss of two life a turn is neglible as i always pack green in my black decks to harness the mighty power of natural spring. soon people will be saying juzam who?

If played right the loss of 2 life is irrelevant because he'll be beating for 6 but I have also lost because of the loss of 2 life.

hmm. grinning demon or juzam djinn..I think I'll keem my juzam. one damage vs. lose 2 life..hmm. I'm keeping the juzam. preventing 1 damage is too easy. what are they gonna do when you drop juzam on first turn? drop their jaws. what will they do when you drop a 2/2 morph card on the table? say
