Cards of note in this set are many, including the Power Nine cards at the top of the heap. Ancestral Recall, Black Lotus, Mox Emerald, Mox Jet, Mox Pearl, Mox Ruby, Mox Sapphire, Timetwister & Time Walk make up the Power Nine.  Additionally Dual Lands, Birds of Paradise, Serra Angel, Sol Ring and many other notable cards are found throughout the set.  Two new cards were added, Circle of Protection: Black and Volcanic Island along with a 3rd variant of the 5 basic lands.

moxes are only second to black lotus. i hear people saying that this is no different than a mountain, but you cant play 2 mountains on the first turn can you? moxes are essential for serious t1 play

Yeah, the moxes. I believe moxes are incredibly cheap and awesome, but what to you gain from a mox? Yeah, you can play as many as you want in a turn, but still! Imagine, if you had a 2/2 for 0 mana. Yeah, it's incredibly cheap and awesome but what are you left with? A 2/2. It's not hard to lose with a 2/2 on the field. I give this a 3 star because of it's incredible cheap and awesomeness, but I seriously think it shouldn't be on the p9 because of it's usefulness in the point of magic. winning the game. Not all cards in magic are meant to win the game, but the p9? Think of time walk, ancestral recall, and all the other cards. Those cards didn't get on the p9 just because it's they were an improved mana. Black lotus of course is an exception because it was the first card made, but a mox doesn't have that advantage. A mox I believe should be like Mishra's Factory, or all the other cards associated with the p9 like that.
