The first time i ever saw this, i thought it was worthless (why would i want to throw away a combo?) Then Izzet cam out to play and made this possibly one of the most broken cards in the game. Well at least in limited for sure but in constructed it can still hold well. Just don't plan long combos, unless the other pieces lie in your deck, or you are going to leave your self wanting.
