This baby, won me a tournament just the other night. She's life gain, and Control. Put her up with Thoughtpicker Witches, and Golgari Grave-trolls, and Golgari Rotwurms, and you've got a creature lock. The sacrafice isnt all that much, especially not for black/green decks

Any time you need something that's awsome, Look for a little higher cost, but when she hits the board on 3-4 turn, it's almost game over, cause they aren't going to have creatures to block with. She can make sure of that.

My vote's a bit biased, what with Black/Green being my favorite combo since Mirage. =P

That aside, I think this card is great - lots of potential if you play it out right.

Gleancrawler + Shambling Shell + Savra

Play out the shells, pop'em to make Savra bigger, wipe opponents creatures.
End of your turn, they all come back to your hand, thanks to the Gleancrawler.

Other useful supplements: Bloodbond March, Altar of Dementia, Aluren, Leyline of the Void

Last game I ran this combo (casual multiplayer), I was sacrificing 6 creatures on my turn, 3 on an opponents. Play one shell - sac for a counter on Savra or Gleancrawler. Play the second Shambling Shell through Alluren for free, Bloodbond March gives you the one you just tossed back in play, sac them both. Play the third, get the other two from the March, sac all three. Attack with the buffed Gleancrawler if it appears safe. End of your turn, Gleancrawler gives them all back to you. Opponent's turn, play one, sac it. Play the other, get 2 total, sac them both, play the third and sit pretty with 3 creatures. Creakwood Liege helps make this cycle even better, and a Momentous Fall or two cracks it wide open. :) I'm very happy with the deck she's in.

If you put Golgari Germination in your deck it is a great combo to add with the Thoughtpicker Witches.

Play her with a red/black/green deck with Braids and Lyzolda. let the fun begin.

It's great to be able to both heal and destroy with this card, and the cost is pretty decent considering its abilities. The sacrifice part is a bit painful, though, but understandable. Could make a great casual card, but probably won't see much tournament play.
