Its a game ender. If you have been causing pain with megrim or lillianas caress and lighting bolts then they are pretty close to dead anyway. Give them the choice of how they want to die. A caress turn 2 and a megrim turn 3 thats 7 damage from this card or if they have played two or three cards they will still have around 3 cards so thats 12 damage. Loosing almost half or more than half your life is never fun. This adds a little giggle factor of letting them decide.

This is a staple in my discard deck (b/r) have megrim (soon to be adding lillianas caress) and theyre gonna lose life either way

I'd love to cuck 2 dark ritual on turn 2 and play this. It would be worth it. hybrid scores it its 4th star.

i've been trying to think of a really awesome combo with this card...thus far I've failed. playing it off of 2 dark rituals is cool, but thats 3 cards for 7 damage...might as well have triple incinerated. 5 mana is just a lot, and in a red and or black deck mana accel is...hard to come by. pretty wicked with howling mine, megrim, and underworld dreams, but that's a lot of cards for a combo...mrmph.
