I like to play Cursed Scroll in my Mind Twist/Oona's Prowler/Cursed Scroll deck/Delirium skeins. I use Mind Twist's and other random discard tricks while my Oona's Prowlers beat them down. Of course they boozle my Oona's Prowler's so I throw added heat with Cursed Scroll & Delirium Skeins to end any mega late-game cards like Plaxcaster Frogling. I lose to Plaxcaster Frogling decks.

What makes this card so good is the fact that its colourless burn, plus no one uses destroy artifacts mainboard! Perfect.

Great card for sligh. Forget being protected from colors. This artifact is definately one of the best. handles creatures and opponents. MUST HAVE. It's worth the price for any aggresive deck, especially sligh

I love this card. Great with a burn deck. "I scroll you naming fireblast."

Clearly one of the most powerful cards in recent history, and of all time! To make it short and sweet: It's parctically free to cast, can go in any deck due to its colorless status, deals colorless damage, and is relentless. In any good fast deck its ability is virtually guaranteed to work because you will empty your hand quickly! Concrete short list material, not much explaining needed!!

This is THEE card to have, especially if you're playing a deck that empties your hand fast. Guarenteed damage to creatures or players. After playing with this card I can see why they banned it in the Rath Cycle.

I believe this is the most broken card from the Tempest set. It was wrong to watch Sligh decks drop multiple scrolls onto the table, and right after they drew a single card, use all the scrolls to deal 2 damage each, then play the burn card they more than likely just drew, and do massive damage every turn.

This is the best card ever. Empty your hand fast and you can start picking off your opponents
creatures. I have 3 of them in my white weenie deck . They help with the speed in my deck

well, i've been playing MTG for a long time now. and one of my most closely held secrets is that i never played with(or more importantly, learned how!) 'cursed scroll' in a tournament or championship caliber deck. yes, i'm aware of the several different decks that it featured prominently in over the years but, for me, it just never came together for me in a way i could appreciate. now having said that, i should mention that i preeminently play the 1.5 format("legacy" now). so, a long time ago(before the new millenium), i decided to make a mono colored deck of each color, artifact, and five color. and, over the years, for various and sundry reasons, 'cursed scroll' just never seemed to make the cut(other than casual fun play). however, the 'mirrodin' block's printing of 'crucible of worlds' got me to thinking of making an eighth deck to join my other seven 1.5 decks. namely an "all-land" deck. and, after several false starts, and the addition of green mana for 'exploration' and 'burgeoning,'
i'm happy to say that 'cursed scroll' came to my mind as a natural and unforced fix for the needs of my particular deck. and with all that jibberjabber out i would say, in conclusion, that i recommend this puppy with a caveat; if you're not playing "sligh" it can be much more challenging and awkward than some folks are willing to admit...ciao!

This card is very good, as it can deal with creatures in the very early game if you empty your hand quickly enough. It's very cheap to cast and to activate even if it's never cheap to buy. They are best played by aggressive decks, and can be used to kill the opponent if they're low on life. The only problem is that they are unable to kill creatures with toughness higher than 2 and they aren't good in control decks that take a long time to empty their hand. Still, probably the best card in Tempest and a very versatile and powerful creature killer.
