To the last review: Phyrexian Dreadnaught can still be countered. Split Second just stops anything from being played on top of Trickbind, but once trickbind resolves, Split Second is gone and then Dreadnaught can be countered. It does at least prevent Trickbind from being countered by something like Negate though.

Way better than stifle due to splitsecond, great to cast that dreadnaught that you dont want countered. Split second dominates the stack.

Your opponent plays Eater of Days and Stifles it, he's rolling on the floor laughing, then you decide to counter that pretty little Stifle. Good thing he's using Stifles not Trickbinds. I hate to say it but Trickbind is a better card.

To Clement, if you play trickbind targeting dreadnought's ability, then dreadnought is already in play and cant be countered. Good card, especially is stifle out of your price range, but being able to stop fetchlands and wastelands turn one is what makes stifle so d*mn strong

This card also works great with Leveler. 10/10 for 5 mana. Not as good as 12/12 for 1 mana but its easier to get leveler than it is Dreadnought. Dreadnought is so dang expensive.

I definitely prefer buying these over Stifle. Stifle's one mana casting cost, which is the only benefit it has over these, does not justify its over-inflated price tag.Add in the fact that this has split-second, which Stifle does not, and Trickbind becomes the clear choice. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy to get a Stifle in a booster or whatever, but if I am buying singles, it will be Trickbind every time, without a doubt.

Nice alternative for stifle if you are having trouble finding it. Though this additional 1 to the mana cost is the downfall.
