With the release of morningtide this card became a game winner in many situations. If you have and number of lands in hand and a countryside crusher on the field you can almost always win the game. A staple in a loam deck.

a really good card that shows what a good magic player you are by capitalizing on your skill and knowledge of the game. this card is really good in the first 1-3 turns of the game, after which its effectiveness decreases. card advantage isn't as bad as it may seem, well, the fact that its random really hurts, but its 'earthquake' like effect usually net you equal cards or greater....heh, anyway late in the game you can still use it as a crappy stone rain.....or throw away all those crap lands you seem to keep drawing....

just wanted to update my older review. i almost exclusively play type 1.5 decks now and this card is used in a mono red land destruction deck. although i mentioned its usefulness in the beginning of the game, alot of times you want to hold it and use it strategically. i found i really had to play with it maindeck(where it still resides) to get the full hang of it. you learn the different deck types and the most crucial time to play it. definitely not for the fainthearted or slow of mind. almost singlehandlely makes you in to a 'red' mage if i'm not being overdramatic. sometimes i never even have to play it. to give one example; in 1.5 decks there are alot of mono brown(artifact) decks that can really crush you in a hurry and this card can swing the game back in your favor in one fel swoop............
