What makes this card so great that i haven't seen pointed out is the fact that the equipped creature doesn't have to do the killing. You can play spells to kill anything, yours or theirs, or just straight battle it out with this equipped on anything to leave it alone but super powered up. Every deck that kills creatures, which is any deck, should have at least one, vampires should run the play set.

Great for a vampire deck, still good with non-vamps, especially in a weenie/ token deck where you'll be sending lots of little guys to the graveyard.

Must-have for any vampire deck. It's cheap enough to cast early, and that's the key to this card: getting it out early. Get it attached early, and you're going to have a steady stream of +1/+1 counters on your hand. Cards like these are why god invented artifact removal, so if your opponent is using one of these... shut it down as fast as you can.

Pawn of Ulamog, Grave Pact, Bloodthrone Vampire, etc. and back up synergy with Dash Hopes vs. Removal. You will out-swing soo many decks isn't not even funny. You could also toss in Deathgreeter as a solid 1cmc equivalent to a soul warden in a Sacrificial black deck.

Best thing about sacrifice is after you n' opponent add all your stuff to the stack in responce to a removal spell or what-not just sac it to increase your other pump effects, and not have your permanent exiled(for a later recur perhaps?), or if they try to Mirror Strike the biggest. It always makes me smile when I see my opponent get frusterated as I burn up all their answers!

run this with anowon in bigger melee matches and equip it to somthing cool like malakir bloodwitch a 5/5 flying pro white (that does work when it comes into play if u have a sanguinebond out and a bunch of lil vamps) this cards pretty sick in a vamp deck fo sho

awesome card, i run it with vampire nighthawk and whispersilk cloak. deal all the damage straight to player with whispersilk and vampire night hawk has flying liflink and deathouch to block with.

A must have for any one planning on making a Vampire deck. Now that we have lower mana costing vamps we can now make a deck of almost nothing but vampires for creatures. It's about time someone at wizards put some tought on Vampires and the need of low mana costing vamps, equipment etc...

A little overated, because it has no immediate benefit, and it can't transport its benefits from one to the other, but nonetheless, this is the upperhand for alot of games. Equip cards are underated...
