Shogun + Shien does not equal lock down, read your cards carefully. I have the ultimate rare and ultra rare version of this card, still waiting on my last couple of cards to complete my Samurai deck. Shien is just a great card though, enough said.

Legendary Six Samurai + Great Shogun Shien = NO LOCKDOWN Legendary Shien Negates the ACTIVATION of a spell/trap, meaning that if he negates it, Great Shogun's effect doesen't apply, giving the opposite player the ability to activate another until the activation of his card is NOT negated. Shien is still a good card and I have 2 so yea, beast mode ;)

Great shogun+Synchro Shi En= No lockdown... Shien states you negate the activation of a spell/trap and shogun says they can play one trap so if the first one is negated they can play one more and one one.

Excellent card. Two is the ideal number to run as you'll most likely get two Shi En's out and win at that point. Anonymous from Italia is wrong. The TCG ruling states that if Shi En negates a spell/trap, that spell/trap does not count towards Great Shogun Shien's effect since it was negated in the first place.
